CARE INSTRUCTIONS FOR CHROMED BUMPERS

The quality of the steel and the chrome plating of the bumpers available on the market
do not correspond to the European standard.
Because of the high scrap concentration in the iron melting the bumpers
made of this material start rusting easily and also the thinner put on chromium plating
cannot prevent oxidation.

But it is possible to prolong the life of the bumpers by protecting them before mounting.

On the inside the bumpers should be painted and the chromed outside
should be coated with commercial preserver (p.ex. wax).
Take care that a complete protective film arises which should be renewed in regular intervals.
On no account the bumpers should be exposed a longer time to wet and saline climate
without cleaning them immideately.
