OPERATION INFORMATIONS FOR ALTERNATORS

- never start the alternator without battery and regulator
- never remove the battery terminals during run of the alternator
- at quick charge the battery has to be disconnected from the generator
(otherwise the high self-induction will destroy the diodes inside the alternator)

Advantage of the alternator over the dynamo:
- power output already during idle
- low-maintenance
- low weight-to-power ratio
