When the first 12 Piccolos appeared on the market in 1957 surely nobody would have believed that they still enthrall people 40 years later. Judged by modern standards the models were somewhat crude due to the moulding technique of the time - but perhaps this is what made them so lovable after all. Today's models impress by their solid die-cast bodies and their free-weheeling performance.

    PICCOLO SET "100 YEARS ADAC"

The German motorbiker's association ("Deutsche Motorradfahrer Vereinigung" DMV), the predecessor of the ADAC (the German Automobile Club) (change of name in 1911) was founded on 24.0.1903 in Stuttgart by 25 members. This mobility service provider with approx. 15 million members has celebrated his centenary with numerous ceremonies, exhibitions, an oldtimer car rallye and various special events. To mark this cenetary, SCHUCO put a limited series of PICCOLOS on the market, a set of 2003 pieces. 

Important cornerstones of the ADAC's history have been represented with three "ADAC-Straßenwacht" cars and a metal sheet of a historic front page of the ADAC Motorwelt magazine.
